AI has been the talk of the town for a little while now, and it’s no shock as to why. It feels like a void is opening, and with it, opportunities and ideas have come ceaselessly.

However, a layer of fear has also emerged within the production community that comes from different standpoints like “producing using AI is too easy” or “what’s the legal standpoint with all of this.”

Despite how many producers may feel, AI can significantly enhance my music creation, inspiration, and manipulation.

AI in Music

Whether it’s a beat generator or a music plugin, AI has seamlessly wedged itself within the confines of modern music production. Let’s not forget that almost every industry has integrated AI into its workforce.

For music, that form comes in the shape of:

  • Websites able to quickly generate entire beats
  • Master already mixed tracks
  • Or automatically alter the pitch and frequency of sounds.

How It’ll Reshape My Music

I plan to use AI tools for my music mainly to add polish or find inspiration. With the versatility of these tools not being a secret, there’s no telling how many cool song ideas I can come up with.

Even if I don’t need more ideas, I could just as easily add some much-needed polish to my tracks.

That’s not even mentioning the bonus of having access to so many different AI music plugins, some of which can help shape the sounds I create in various ways.

With AI on the rise and the number of tools at our disposal, there isn’t a genuine excuse for not giving them a shot.
