5 Movies With the Best Soundtracks
How many movies do you watch for the music?
How many movies do you tend to watch? A lot? A little?
Now, out of all those movies, how many of them do you specifically remember because of the music?
If you don’t have that long a list, don’t be sad because, by the end of this post, you will have at least 5 movies with amazing soundtracks to throw in.
Interstellar
You can argue with me if you want, but Interstellar has one of the most beautiful vibes and feels of any music soundtrack in recent years.
Whether it’s the somber piano melodies or the incredible violin, I couldn’t tell you, but no matter the number of times I hear it, I still get goosebumps.
With every continuous track, the eerie theme as a whole carries through and always seems to deliver.
The Lion King
Is there anyone who can’t sing along to at least half the songs within The Lion King? With every new song, good pacing and flow move the tracks along with the story.
Not to mention that so many classics have come from The Lion King that are still being covered to this day.
Even the music that doesn’t contain any lyrics manages to carry so much emotion and only elevates the movie itself.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Yes, I know; pretty much every song in Guardians of the Galaxy is a normal pop song.
The reason I say their soundtrack is good, though, is because of its use of said music.
Unlike most movies that use pop songs as more of a crutch, here, it’s used much more deliberately. So much so that it’s an entire story arc throughout the film that carries some real weight.
Pirates of the Caribbean
If you can’t recognize the Pirates of the Caribbean theme, raise your hand because I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t gotten that melody stuck in their head at least once.
You can’t even blame them; the minute you hear it, you instantly get the tone and feel for what the movie is trying to accomplish.
I don’t know exactly how to put it into words, but they almost capture the essence of a pirate in music.
Black Panther
Ludwig Göransson and Kendrick Lamar both managed to pull off such an Oscar-worthy soundtrack with Black Panther.
With all of the culture within each song and the carefully woven modern touch, each song fits well and delivers.
Something to note is that each song enhances the tension and carries the very message of some scenes inside the movie.
Conclusion
There is no shortage of good movie soundtracks to look out for.
Whether you define a good movie soundtrack through the songs themselves or how intertwined they are with the movie is up to you.
However, hopefully, something we can all agree on is that these 5 soundtracks all hit hard, no matter the age.
